Michael was preceded in death by his loving wife Louise of 60 years, his parents, Tony and Rosalie; and his brother, Robert Montalbano. He is survived by his beloved sister, Mary Platt, his children, Elizabeth McClurg, Rosalie and Terry Tauriello, Veda Montalbano, Marie Lomax, Anthony and Kathryn Montalbano, Michael Jr. and Kathleen Montalbano, 18 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and his sister-in-laws, Julia Montalbano and Pat Salvato. He also leaves several nieces and nephews.
Michael worked for Dow Chemical for 30 + years as an Electrical Engineer. He is best known for the many lives that he touched as a husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great –grandfather, and friend. He loved his family, cooking, socializing, and his Italian Heritage.
Michael was a devout Catholic, active member of the Nights of Columbus, and founding a member of the Happy Hearts at St Bartholomew Catholic Church. Michael was active – he loved to please Louise, the two of them were members of the Hey Lollies Square Dance Club.
The visitation will be on Friday March 18, 2016 from 5-7pm, the Rosary will begin at 7pm at Forest Park Funeral Home Chapel on Westheimer. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10am on Saturday, March 19th at St Bartholomew Catholic Church in Katy. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home.
