On December 8, 2024, God called Michael Joseph Jackson home, where he was reunited with his beloved son, Jerid Jackson, in heaven. Michael was born in Houston, Texas, on July 21, 1958, to the late William and Joan Jackson. He graduated from Sam Houston High School in May 1977, where he took classes to become a machinist. Michael worked as a machinist for over 38 years, always ensuring that his family was well taken care of.
On July 8, 1987, Michael married Kelley Lane Lawson, and together they built a beautiful family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and all outdoor activities, but above all, he cherished his family. After receiving the Order of the Arrow sash in the Boy Scouts, he shared his love of the outdoors with his children by becoming an assistant scout leader for his sons. Michael loved to take his sister Cynthia to new restaurants when he wasn't busy grilling at home. Anyone who knew Michael recognized that his greatest charm was his sense of humor and his devotion to his family.
A devoted Catholic, Michael was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Conroe, Texas. He is survived by his siblings: Cynthia Moore, Susan Kleb, Jeanine Jackson, Benton Jackson, and William Jackson; his children: Benjamin Jackson, Michael Jackson, Kandace Coleman, and Adrian Jackson; and his lifelong best friend, Kenneth Archibald. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Wayne Moore, Ann Chambers, David Jackson, and Terry Jackson; his beloved grandchildren: Shyanne Kowalke, Destiny Jackson, Skyler Jackson, Shelby Fife, Karleigh Jackson, James Fife, and Brooklyn Jackson; his great-grandchildren: Levi Jackson, Madilyn Jackson, Karson Jackson, and Korbin Jackson; as well as four bonus children, five bonus grandchildren, and two bonus great-grandchildren.
