Mauro Rodriguez

Mauro Rodriguez, 73 of Houston, Texas was born in Monterrey, Mexico to Gabriel and Carmen (Torres) Rodriguez and passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was 1 of 10 children. Mauro was a loving, caring husband, a humble and a truly romantic gentleman. He was supportive of his family and their needs, always encouraging and dedicated to his family. He was a favorite uncle to the family, a great neighbor and a great friend. He was hardworking and dedicated to his work as a maintenance worker for Metro, where he worked for over 15 years before retiring. He was a loving, caring soul, a spiritual man of faith and a huge sports fan.

He is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Prudencia Gaspar; children, Mario Rodriguez and wife, Priscilla; Jaime Rodriguez and wife, Stephanie; Brenda Rodriguez and Frances Hernandez and husband, Ricardo; 10 grandchildren, Nathan, Christian, Isaiah, Isla, Zariah, Genesis, Olivia, Benjamin, Noel, Regina and Odalis; along with other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gabriel, and Carmen Rodriguez; his brothers, Raul Rodriguez, and Gabriel Rodriguez; his sisters, Sabina Sanchez and Victoria Palos and nephew, Jose Luis Rodriguez.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo (4136 Broadway, Houston) with burial following at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday afternoon from 1:00pm until 8:00pm with a rosary/prayer service at 7:00pm. Serving as pallbearers Jaime Rodriguez, Mario Rodriguez, Christian Rodriguez, Nathan Rodriguez, Raul Rodriguez, and Martin Rodriguez.
