Mary was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 24, 1946 to Teresa and Ruben Benson.
She was married to Ramiro Rodriguez for 58 years, he passed away on March 29, 2020.
Mary had a passion for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dancing and singing with her children and her grandchildren made her the happiest.
She was survived by her seven children, Mary Jane Granado, Jesse Rodriguez, Bobby Rodriguez, Lupe Rodriguez, Shirley Ann Mattison, Alfonso Guerra and Francisco Mejia.
Mary will be remembered for her beautiful heart sweet smile and for making our family home a place of comfort and love.
She was known for loving all children and opened her heart and home to whoever needed her. She will be missed by many.
A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039, followed by a funeral service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
