Mary was born in Jonesville, Louisiana on September 8, 1922 to Bertha and Arthur Talley. While Mary was still a young girl, the family moved to Houston, Texas where Mary grew up and spent most of her life. It was there that she met the love of her life, C. L. Robinson. They were married on June 8, 1940. They were blessed with a daughter and a son and had been happily married for 54 years when C. L. died in July 1994. In 2008, Mary moved to Tulsa, OK to be nearer to her daughter and son-in-law. She lived in Tulsa until her death.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sharron and Clive Seymour; her son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Eliza Robinson; grandchildren, Ryan and Natalie Synnott, Marcy and Joe Marcum, and Jill and Jerry Ivicic; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Caroline Synnott, Emma Marcum and Drue Ivicic. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Shirley Talley, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was a career homemaker and Mother. She always said it was the most wonderful career a woman could pursue. Her devout Catholic faith sustained her through the losses of her parents, all of her siblings and her husband. Throughout her life, she was able to adjust to change and make new friends wherever she went.
Her beautiful blue eyes lit up when she laughed, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the source of much of her joy and laughter. As she grew older, she often said that she was the luckiest woman in the world. When her health declined over the years she never gave in or gave up, because she wanted to participate in life. At the end, she was ready to make her final journey back "home" and rest in heaven. She fought the good fight and now is at peace for eternity.
We shall always miss her.
