, 83, passed away on February 11, 2014. Mary Lou was a former Kansas State University Cheerleader, member of Kappa Kappa Gama sorority, president of the Houston PanHellenic council and spent many years as a volunteer with Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Texas Children’s Hospital Women’s auxiliary and Catholic Charities.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert Lane and brother John Gorman. Survived by her children, Scott Lane and his wife, Karen, Jeffrey Lane, Lu Ann Lane Bowman and husband, Jay, James Lane and wife Catherine; grandchildren, Matthew, Hayden, Harrison, Mary Catherine, Anna Beth and Bob.
Visitation with the family will be at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home on Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 6-8 P.M. The Vigil and Rosary will at 7:00 P.M. Services celebrating Mary’s life will be at 10:30 am Monday, February 17, 2014 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in the Mary Chapel, 19222 Tomball Parkway Houston, Texas 77070. Concluding services Mary will be laid to rest at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
