Mary Magdalene Gutierrez

Our precious mother, Mary Magdalene Gutierrez, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 15, 2023. She was born May 29, 1937, in Houston, Texas to †Valentin and †Carlota Ramos.

She was married on June 19, 1955, to †Joseph Daniel Gutierrez. She was a loving mother to Joseph, Ricardo, Maria, Rudolph, and Carlos. She raised her children with love and devotion.

Mary was a strong loving soul as a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Our comfort is knowing she is resting in peace with our Lord and reunited with our angels in heaven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Valentin and Carlota Ramos; her husband, Joseph Daniel Gutierrez; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth D. Gutierrez; her sister, Margaret R. Avila; her brothers Jesse Ramos, Johnny Manuel Ramos Sr., Angel Ramos.

She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brother and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was a selfless matriarch of her family. She opened her doors to anyone and enjoyed company at her home. She was always strong in her faith and is loved by many. She will be truly missed by everyone. We will treasure her memory and never forget the smiles she brought to our faces. Her love was the greatest. Thank you to everyone for your continued prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.

A visitation for Mary will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A rosary will occur Monday, January 23, 2023 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A mass will occur Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran St., Houston, TX 77009. A committal service will occur Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Forest Park East Cemetery, 21620 Gulf Fwy, Webster, TX 77598.
