Daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, friend. Confidante, soul mate, listener, encourager, competitor, golfer, cheerleader, supporter, #1 fan. Mary Ann was all of these and more. She is deeply loved and will be missed by many.
Our dearest, Mary Ann (P Pie), left us Saturday, December 12, 2015 to join the angels above. We know she is watching over all of us and trust she will guide and protect us until we meet again.
Mary was born June 5, 1939 in Cibolo, Texas to Charles and Alma Rosenbaum. Her parents, and her dearest sister, Dorothy Strople, preceded her in death. She is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Russell, her sons & their wives, Royce & Teresa, Ron and Tonja; six grandchildren: Zachary, Morgan, Taylor (husband Gray), Blake, Makenzie and Reagan, her sisters Bonnie (husband Chester) Irene (husband Ken) and brother Sonny (wife Nina) as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mary was committed to family; including extended family and the celebrated Jubilees. She had a natural and easy way of rooting for the “winner” while consoling others. There was not a person she met that did not become a friend to her and her family. She had a magical way of bringing everyone to the center of attention without much pomp and circumstance.
She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony on Friday, December 18,2015. A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, December 21, 2015 at St. John’s United Methodist Church ~ 400 Jackson St. Richmond Tx 77469 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon followed by a gathering of family and friends in the fellowship hall.
The family is grateful for the care team of Kathy, Mistique, Beatrice, Lauren and especially Tammy. All provided tremendous comfort and guidance during this difficult time. To you, we extend our sincere thanks.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Memory of Mary Ann Goodwine to St. John’s United Methodist Church.
