Mary Elizabeth Bajorek was born on Saturday November 28, 1970 in North Tonawanda, New York, and raised by loving parents the late Diana Sue Wasson and Donald Edwin Dodd.
She graduated from Spring High School in 1989 in the city of Spring, a small suburb of Houston, Texas. It was there she met the love of her life Mr. Daniel Buck and they married in 1991. Together they nurtured their two children, Brittany Mariah and Eric Daniel – they were Mary’s sun and moon.
Love of family was paramount for Mary. When she became a grandmother, her heart’s joy, her sincerity, and playfulness poured into beautiful granddaughter Zoey Mykal and grandson Cooper Ryen, and we see it reflected back from them each day. Mary was her families’ biggest fan. She supported everyone’s dreams to be GREAT: from Brittany’s cheer performances to Eric’s baseball games, Zoey’s softball / volleyball teams to being a “Cooper Trooper,” and let us not forget to include rooting for him to slide across home plate.
The family traded the city life for life in the country - a peaceful ranch that welcomes you with a red tractor mailbox. The humble home with a wraparound porch, tin roof, exposed cedar beams and rustic interior is well insulated with her love. You see natural peace and tranquility throughout the property, from the trio of Labrador Retrievers in the dog run, to “The Pond at Buck Canyon.“
Mary enjoyed camping, cooking for her family one-crockpot meal at a time, riding on the back of the Harley with her husband and being the glue that held EVERYTHING and EVERYONE together.
She found deep fulfillment in her work with Dignity Memorial for twenty years as a Market director assistant. Her work family will miss her presence and perseverance.
On October 13, 2023 Mary’s life and love transitioned from time to eternity.
She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Diana Dodd, mother and father in love Judy and Larry, and devoted dogs Jack, Tucker and Roscoe.
Her love will live on in the hearts of her husband and best friend of 35 years Daniel Buck, son Eric Buck, daughter Brittany Hansen, son in love Michael Hansen, and grandchildren Zoey and Cooper Hansen, sister Rebecca Dodd, sister Amy Kappler, brother-in law Adam Kappler and nephew Aidan Kappler. Her dog Charlie and grand dog Kiko, and a vast host of family and treasured friends will all miss her dearly.
A memorial service for Mary will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
