Martha Jane “Pat“ Black Boudreaux went home to Heaven on July 18, 2018. Pat was born on February 20, 1936 to Floyd and Una French in Newton, Iowa. Pat grew up on a farm and enjoyed horseback riding and ice skating. After graduating from Newton High School she moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where her sister June Lee French Tyler and her family lived. Pat worked at Convair. She met the handsome Lifeguard at Burgers Lake in Fort Worth. Morris J. Black and Pat were married and had three children. Morris J Black, Jr., Michael Jon Black and Michelle Jean Black.
For a while Pat and her family lived next door to Pat’s sister, June Lee and her family in Fort Worth. Pat and her family moved to Houston. After the divorce, Pat worked in real estate and later as a Librarian at NASA. Astronauts would come to her and request tapes of missions and she would retrieve the heavy tapes.
Pat met Doyle Boudreaux in 1987 and married in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2008. Pat enjoyed making jewelry and going to craft fairs.
Doyle passed away August 6, 2017.
Survivors: son Jay Black and wife Paula, Granddaughter Liza Black, grandson Brandon Black of Seabrook, Texas, daughter Michelle Black of Seabrook and son Michael Black of Johannesburg, South Africa, niece Linda Peterson and nephew David Tyler of Fort Worth. She also left behind her 4 step children, Sheilla Boudreaux, Bubby Boudreaux, Greg Boudreaux and Dwayne Boudreaux. Rufus and Monkey.
Pat, we will always love and miss you! A wonderful mother, peace maker and soul comfort to us all.
