Marilyn Villanueva Mullins-Vincent, 65, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024, in Houston Texas. She was born on June 6, 1959, in Manila, Philippines, to Jovita Alawi Villanueva and Alfredo Diaz Villanueva.
Marilyn was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother, known for her warmth, humor, kindness, and industriousness. She worked around the world in many cultures, with roles in multinational product management in both the foods and pharmaceutical industries, and as a corporate director in the oil and energy sector.
She was educated in Singapore, and held a BSc in Business Administration, as well as a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the leading universities in the Philippines, with further studies in medicine in the United States. In recent years she gave back to the education sector by teaching in Elementary, Middle and High Schools in the Bellville and Brenham areas, Texas.
Marilyn is now reunited with parents Jovita and Alfredo, her sister Sahara, and her first husband Donnie. She is survived by her son Cody, her beloved husband Rick, and by her siblings Tia, Alfredo, and Angel.
A visitation for Marilyn will be held Monday November 18, 2024 from 10am to 11am, with the funeral service beginning at 11am in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77204. A reception will follow immediately after the funeral service in the Event Room. The family will gather for a private interment in Richmond, Texas.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.
