Marilyn Sue Martin

Marilyn Sue Martin, 71, of Houston, Texas, passed away on August 20, 2022. She was born at St. Thomas Hospital in Colby, Kansas on July 1, 1951 to parents Lyle and Virginia Hoppas. She met her husband Troy Martin in Houston, Texas and married on October 19, 1968. They had 3 amazing children together (her greatest blessings) Kimberley, Troy, and Scott. After losing her beloved husband in in 1984, she found love again in Robert Logan and was happily married for 14 years. She had 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She was very close with her brother and sisters and loved spending time with her family more than anything.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Virginia Hoppas; Husband of 16 years, Troy Martin and Husband of 14 years, Robert Logan.

Left to cherish her memories are her children Kimberley Martin Clinton, Troy Martin Jr. (& wife Kim), Charles Scott Martin (& wife Naleta); grandchildren, Jason Fick, Courtney Garcia, Amber Hampton, Chloe Clinton, Chelsea Cox, Megan Martin, Troy Martin III, Austin Martin, Miriah Martin, Mirakle Martin, Isabella Martin, Charles “CJ” Martin; great-grandchildren, Stormie Garcia, David Garcia, Cash Leszczewicz, Aidyn Fick, Cohen Cox, Troy Benjamin Martin, Asher Moore; Siblings, Sharion Boston (& husband Kenneth), Judy Thornton (& late husband Johnny) Lyle Hoppas II “Jr”, Brenda Fick (& husband Donnie), as well as numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.

A memorial gathering for Marilyn will be held Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
