Marion Glory Kessler Curry went to be with our heavenly father on Friday, April 4th. She was born on October 23, 1918 in Houston, Texas as the daughter of Edward C. Kessler and Mathilde Goll Kessler who came to the area from Milwaukee, WI. She was the youngest of eight children and her siblings that have predeceased her were George William Kessler, Lilly Lena Kessler, Louis C. Kessler, Ella Carolyn Kessler Kilgore, Celia Anna Kessler Lee, Ervin William Kessler and Raymond John Kessler. In 1936 she graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in Houston, Texas, learned to be a comptometer operator, and worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. This is where she met and later married the love of her life, Vardar Manning Curry, and they were married for fifty-four years when he passed away in June of 1994. She is survived by her two daughters Carolyn Faye Curry Brown and husband Burt and Judith Lee Curry Hanus and husband Dale all of Pearland. She spent her life serving others and loving and caring for her family and friends. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Sharon Annette Brown Marsh and husband Wes of League City, Randy Burt Brown and wife Janet of Kemah, Darryl David Hanus and wife Laurie of Galveston and Kimberly Dale Hanus Stafford and husband Tim of Friendswood. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren James Aaron Nance and wife Erin, Katie Rae Nance Paz and husband Tom, Taylar Ann Brown and Briley Amber Brown, and two great-great grandchildren Addisyn and Austyn Nance. A celebration of her life will be held at Forest Park Lawndale on Thursday, April 10th at 2pm located at 6900 Lawndale Avenue, Houston Texas 77023. A special thank you to all the nursing staff at Friendswood Healthcare Center for caring for her during her extended stay there.
