When I found out "la Mama Mercado"had pass my heart was saddened and my tears rolled down my face. Today I am envious because God has taken the life of the party, the smile worth a million and the most loving person I have known besides my own mother.

Mariquita was a great woman and life of the party.  Every time you asked her age, she would say "45".  She was always young at heart.  I had the privilege and honor of being part of her family for many years.  Rest in peace Mariquita.

Dios en su misericordia te regalo una madre inigualable,  insuperable,llena de Amor y alegria para sus hijos. Pero se llegó el momento en que Dios reclamara a ese hermoso Angel de vuelta a su Reino. I never got too meet all of 
Ms. María 's siblings but one, Ms. Norma or Señorita Norma as I called her. She introduced me to this wonderful woman whom was sweet, loving and kind to everyone, specifically her two granddaughters Eliana and Briana. I will always remember the first time I met her she said two things to me "por que trais aretes si no heres mujer" why do you have earing if your not a girl. And "sabes a mi me gustan las flores" You know i love flowers. Than start talking about the good old days, She always reminded me of my grandmother :-) always start a conversation and finish with a hole different story. AMAZING women, even though I had too reintroduced my self to her but it was wonderful. I will always remember you may you rest in peace and God rest your soul.

Armando and Family, My condolences to you and your family. My thoughts and prayers are with you!  Looking back I have such great memories of her laughter, dancing and her smile. I will always remember the wonderful times we shared as a family.

Grandma, Abuelita, Thank You so much for being a part of my life and for all of the great memories you have given me. I will always remember walking with you to Fiesta under your umbrella in the hot summer months and staying up with you till the early morning while watching all of your favorite shows like "A la Cama con Porcel" & "Sabado Gigante" because it was never bedtime until you heard the boots of my dad come through that front door. You were always there for me when I needed you and I will forever be thankful for that. I'm happy that you are now in peace and looking over us until we can join you. I Love You Grandma!

"Love is so brief and forgetting so far, far away, the most prized gift is friendship and affection". Mom wrote this and it shows the depth of her heart and the source of her zeal for life. She had a captivating presence, a strong moral fiber, and an even stronger faith in God. You were immediately drawn to her for the excitement she created. Mom suffered immensely in her youth but you would never know it by the way she shared what she had and loved everyone around her. She was regal in her manner, quick with her tongue: never at a loss for making someone at ease with her humor and her wit. And in her quiet time, devout to her faith and a poet who left little scraps of papers with pearls of truths. That twinkle in her eye when she laughed or the flash of lightning when she meant business, was all we needed to do as she bid. Mom was happiest when she was surrounded by people... I am so excited knowing she is with her greatest love: the Lord Jesus 
Christ, in heaven, singing and dancing and basking in His love. What a priviledge it has been to learn from her example. I love you mom.

Norma, my heartfelt condolences to you and your family, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.  May the  wonderful and loving memories of the all times you spent with your Mom sustain you. May the Lord wrap his loving arms around you with comfort,strength and peace.

La senora Maria Mercado era mi paciente. Yo era la priera que me hablaban cuando la senora mercado no se sentia bien era la unica que haBLaba su idioma. senora Maria Mercado siempre estaba feliz. Por la manana siempre me pedia cafe Negro sin azucar. mucha vece me daba UN banio de cafe. Pero solo me reIA. O si no me pedia pls give me fry chicken? Tambie pedia chicharon con yuca. I pray that God would give the family Mercado strength in this difficult moment.

In my memory I can still hear grandma singing, laughing, telling her jokes, and hearing her say "mi preciosca", and "te quiero mucho." Grandma lived with us for 19 years and I can still remember tucking her in at night, bringing her water, and getting her rosary so she could say her prayers at night. She was a woman who loved God, loved her children and grandchildren, and loved life. I love you grandma. I enjoyed all the times we laughed together, I miss your rice pudding, and you waiting for us to come home safely. I'll miss telling you goodnight,calling you "mi chiquita bonita",giving you kisses, and your laughter. All of these memories I will hold in my heart forever. See you in heaven abuelita, te quiero mucho.

Yo puedo disirte que laseniora Maria Mercado fue unas de mis favorita paciente. Ella desia mucha cosa que me quedaba con La boca habierta. Me hacia reir. Cuando la senora Maria Mercado tenia Diaz que no sentia bien yo ere la primera que me hablaban porque ere unica enferma de asistence que hablaba su idioma. voy a extranar sus banio de cafe. siempre por la manana me pedia su cafe. My heart and prayers go out to Ms Mercados family. I enjoyed immensely getting to know Norma and "Momma".  Ms Mercado was a lot of fun and feisty. I loved playing with her in thedining room during meals .  Or playing music and dancing for her.  She will be missed greatly. .

I've known Mariquita for forty years.  (That is a lifetime)  I was made to feel like part of the family, another daughter.  I have so many fond memories of her.  Even at my office I have things that she gave me.  I will always remember her with love.

I will always remember her lust for life and the "flower" in her hair.  Whenever I was around her she generated laughter and joy.  I'll remember her with a smile!

My grandma was a spitfire.  She was always laughing and loved to dance and sing.  She sang loud and proud and didn't care who heard her or who didn't want to hear her.  She sang.  She also loved wearing flowers in her hair, or tucked behind her ear.  It didn't matter the season, or the occasion, if she saw a flower, it was highly likely that she was going to wear it. She also loved wearing bright red lipstick.  I think I inherited that trait.  She also never met a stranger and was the life of the party. Always.  She loved all of her children and grandchildren.  There are so many memories that it would take a lifetime to share with you.  I'm so glad you're not suffering anymore, grandma. You will forever be "45" in my eyes.  I love you always.

Thank you for all of our wonderful childhood memories of dancing and laughter from the house next door.  May the music play on in all of our memories with the lady who loved to sing and dance!  May God keep you safe in his arms.  Love The Cisneros Family!
