Annie leaves to cherish her memories her son Jessie R. Marino (Ruth); daughter Sandra M. Marino-Rodriguez (Frank); son Samuel E. Marino; daughter Stephanie L. Marino (Ruben); son Daniel E. Marino (Nicole); son Jason E. Marino (Maria); daughter Melissa N. Marino-Rodriguez (Adan); stepdaughter Angelee Marino (David); and beloved sister Delia Rodriguez.
She also leaves twenty-nine grandchildren: Savannah D. Marino (Amber); Jessie Cruz Marino; Brianna E. Marino; Frank Alexander Rodriguez (Patty); Leah Jordan Rodriguez; Samuel Eric Marino (Amanda); Isaac Anthony Marino; Stephanie Keller; Angelica Keller; Nicolas Keller; Xzavier Martin Marino-Drescher (Alexis); Ryan Velasquez; Daniella Velasquez; Ruben Velasquez III (Yanira); Nathaniel Jacob Marino; Mason Oliver Marino; Yelitza Renee Marino; Jason D’Angelo Marino; Jayden Kevin Marino; Joshua Jacobo; Sabrina Jacobo; Chasity Jacobo; Trevor James Marino-Harrison; Jarvis Trent Marino-Harrison; Oliver Riley Marino-Harrison; Adabella Rodriguez; Olivia Rodriguez; Kourtney Rodriguez and Baby “Lola” Rodriguez.
She was also known as Wela-Wela, Grams, Gama, Grandma by her ten great grandchildren: Olivia Rose Tiguila-Rodriguez; Zander Pete Drescher; Eliana Ruiz; Christopher Keller; Elijah Hinojosa; Faith Velasquez; Jaylynn Velasquez; Ivan Velasquez; Isaiah Velasquez and Abigail Marino.
Annie leaves sisters-in-law: Marina C. Wood (Robert); Janie Guerra; Virgie Dillard; aunts Vivian Ortega and Lupe Gloria and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Last by not least, she leaves her HISD Family. She worked for HISD for 30+ years assisting deaf children and especially their parents, making sure they obtained the resources needed to assist their deaf child. She loved her job, loved working with her co-workers and loved watching the students grow.
Maria was preceded in death by her father Francisco Rodriguez and her mother Dominga Ortega; sister Jovita Mireles; sister Yolanda Chavez and brother Francisco Rodriguez Jr.
Annie was such a loving and kind woman with a beautiful soul. Her personality, sense of humor, wit, but mostly her love will be greatly missed. She touched many lives and was loved by many. Annie faced many challenges in life, but never wavered in her faith in the goodness of God. She was a Friend to everyone who met her, a Mother to all who knew her and a prayer warrior to anyone who needed her.

Family and friends will gather Monday, August 23, 2021, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale St. Houston, Texas, 77023.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 24,2021 at 11:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with a Graveside Service to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
The family is making face masks mandatory for everyone and asking if you are feeling sick or have been around anyone who is sick to please not be in attendance. Everyone’s safety would be our Mother’s top priority. Our mother’s favorite color was Teal, and she loved Trolls, please wear your favorite bright color in honor of her!
