Maria G. Lira

Maria G. Lira, age 88,of Houston, Texas was born on December 27, 1933 in La Blanca Zacatecas. She passed away on March 21, 2022, to be with our heavenly father, daughter Lupe, and granddaughter Norma.

She dedicated her life to raising her kids and helped raise many grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for anyone that would come over, and loved to be outside. She enjoyed gardening while accompanied by her dogs, and traveling when she was able to. She looked forward to her weekly outings with her daughter Rosa, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters and son, Rosa, Marina, Aurora and Cayetano. Along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Rest my Angel, be at peace, and let your soul fly free. One day day I’ll join your glorious flight for all eternity.

A visitation for Maria will be held Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home. An evening service will occur Sunday, March 27, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will occur Monday, March 28, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A committal service will occur Monday, March 28, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale.Serving as Pallbearers are Pedro, Edward, Daniel, Jose, Eric, and Andrew
