Margarita Salazar Quarles

She was born in San Antonio, Texas on January 15, 1949. Margarita (Margaret) graduated from San Jacinto HIgh School and received 2 Associate's Degrees.

She was married to Owen F. Quarles for 34 years.

Margaret had a career as a Cardio X-Ray Tech for MemorialSW, Sam Houston Memorial and Cy Fair Hospitals.

She was a member of various volunteer organizations and had a passion for help and assisting other in various formats. Her hobbies included cookbooks, craft shows and pearls.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Helen S. Cruz; father, Willie B. Cruz; and brother, Ernest S. Cruz.

She is survived by children, Kevin Dinsmore and Travis Winston Quarles; grandchildren, Beckett Dinsmore, Kinsley Dinsmore, Owen Winston Quarles, Brighid Michael Quarles; siblings, Janie Cano, Angie Gashetter, and Rose Mary Cruz.

Margaret will always be remembered as a loving, doting person, an endearing friends, always available, offering her help and assistance.

A memorial service for Margarita will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, Texas 77038, followed by a reception gathering from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
