She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Leo Carl, Jr. and will be greatly missed by her daughter, Elaine Nowak and husband Don, by her son, Otto Leo Carl, III, grandchildren, Shannan McKinney and husband Carey, Jason Carl and wife Amanda, 4 grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
Margaret, the daughter of Henry Dinklage and Augusta Dickschat Dinklage spent her early years living on the family farm in Washington County, Texas. The Dinklage family were sharecroppers raising cotton. Margaret moved with the family to the Houston Heights area when she was about 7 years old. She attended Field Elementary School, Hogg Jr. High and Reagan High School.
She married Otto Leo Carl, Jr. in February 1939.
She gave birth to their son, Otto Leo Carl, III on December 18, 1943 and their daughter, Margaret Elaine Carl on September 27, 1952. Margaret was a homemaker and seamstress who enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and sewing. She was a devout Christian and attended St. Albans Episcopal Church for 57 years before moving her membership to St. Timothy’s in Spring, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Augusta Dinklage, four siblings, Leroy Dinklage, Bernice Jackson, Henry Dinklage and Mary Belveal.
She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Nowak and husband Don, by her son, Otto Leo Carl, III, grandchildren, Shannan McKinney and husband Carey, Jason Carl and wife Amanda, great grandchildren, Craig, Jade, Averi and Easton, and an extended family of friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, September 4, 2015. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 5, 2015. Visitation and the Funeral Service will be at Brookside Funeral Home Family Chapel with interment to follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
