Manuel Perales Ramos Jr. was born January 6, 1942 in Houston, Texas to Mary and Manuel Ramos Sr. Mr. Ramos attended Jeff Davis High school, and pursued his passion of becoming a saxophonist. In his early years as a musician, Mr. Ramos played with many bands and artists including rock and roll legend, Chuck Berry.
He enjoyed playing music for his loved ones and driving his 1966 Corvette Stingray for a spin around the neighborhood. Mr. Ramos was known for his sense of humor and leaving a smile on everyone’s faces he met. He also often shared his love of plants with his neighbors in Garden Oaks where he resided since 1971.
Mr. Ramos is survived by his wife of 49 years, Juanita Ramos; his daughter Felicia Ramos, his sons, Jaime Ramos and Javier Ramos, and his three grand- children, Daniella, Nathan and Hugo Ramos. He is also survived by his two siblings, nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Mary and Manuel Ramos Sr., and his brother Raymond Ramos.
