
My sincere condolences to the family of Manuel Flores Jr. (Junior) &  friends.
May peace & comfort find its way to those who grieve during this difficult time. 
Dolores F Terrell, is a dear school friend and that’s how I met Junior.
Just like Patsy Carvajal mentioned, Junior was a Jokester especially when we would gather at their parents home to play pool. 
But we also knew he would keep us in-line if we would ever veer  into the wrong direction, like a big brother would. 
I’m sure I can speak for the others, today we are grateful.
Junior was cool like that. 
He will be missed by many and I know this by reading all the nice memories shared. 
May you Rest In Peace. 🙏

What memory wasn’t great by his side? Everything about him was amazing.  His relaxing times either in garage or back yard were the coolest for me! 

There’s one memory I won’t forget for sure. I was working from home and heard a loud noise that scared me. I called Manuel and he said with “ Hi mija” I said are you home, I heard a loud noise and I’m a bit scared. He responded, ok don’t move I’m on my way.  Literally, he was at my door in less than two minutes, he rang door bell,  I opened  and he said “ ok I’m here, let’s go, we’ll have a beer in the garage” lol I couldn’t say no to that right? After all he did make me feel better every time I called him or saw him!  

I’m going to miss him so much! And I hoped he knew how much we loved him. I know it was a short time for us but that’s how powerful his presence was.

I've known Manuel since Thomas Jefferson Elementary through 
Jeff Davis High School and beyond. He was a sweet, sincere and wonderful person. He thought a lot of my parents and they loved him. We have kept in touch off and on through the years, and when we did, see or talk to each other, it was like old times.  I will miss his smiling face and great kindness. Rest in Peace my friend, until we meet again. Cecile "Land" Hunsucker.

When our daughter Sarah was young, her and Stephen were the best of friends much so that I think she stayed at the Flores home more than ours, Manuel was a sweet and wonderful second father to her. He will truly be missed.  Love the Blakes.

When I received the news of Manuel's passing .  I had to go and open up a box of old baseball pictures I had saved. Yep, there we were on the same team Lindale Little League Braves. What I can remember, " great times " .  Have a great journey my friend, " God has a plan for you " , condolences to the Flores family.

JDHS Class of ‘71

Manuel was an amazing person!     Our condolences to the family, he is now one our Angels watching over all of us.   He will be greatly missed.     Prayers  and much love from Rita Salazar and family.  

Manuel was a long time friend of mine from JDHS C/O ‘65. Such a good guy and was a friend to so many. God bless your family and may you RIP 🙏

Manual and I were good friends at JDHS and on Facebook for a long time. Where he found all those jokes remains a mystery! He had the sweetest disposition and wonderful smile. I wish we could have had our 55th reunion and one more hug. May the perpetual light shine upon him. Masses will be offered at St. Brendan’s in Stephenville, Tx

I was Manuels division officer on the USS Manley (DD-940). He was a hard worker and skilled at his rate.  He was a fine young man and a credit to his ship and the Navy.  His service to this country is not forgotten. I visited him in the Da Nang hospital unit before he was transferred back to the states for medical treatment. I have not spoken to him sense that date, but it is gratifying to know he recovered to make a life and family for himself in Texas.

My wife and I met Manuel and Maria about 15 years ago on a cruise ship that sailed from Galveston to Mexico.  Even though they were a bit older than us, we hit it off immediately with them.  We spent most of our time with them for the remainder of the cruise.  We had such a good time we invited them to come stay with us in Ontario, Canada for a vacation which they thankfully did!  They returned the favor and invited us to their home in Houston twice!  We made some wonderful memories with them seeing the sites in Texas.  They welcomed us in and treated us like family.  Manuel was a wonderful family man with a great sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.  Our prayers are with all of his family and friends.  May he rest in peace.
