Mamie L. Harrison

On July 8, 2015, Mamie L. Harrison, much beloved & cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. She has been united in heaven with her two greatest loves: God and her ever-loving husband Hargus. She was born October 1, 1929 in Oakhurst, Texas.

Mamie was an amazing Registered Nurse with a heart of gold. She loved caring for her family and everyone that crossed her path. She was an angel sent from heaven above.

Mamie adored and loved her Sharpstown Baptist Church family, her Sunday school class, and Pastor Mike Jeter who selflessly cared for her after the passing of her husband. The family of Mamie will forever be grateful for the love and support her church family gave her.

A heartfelt and grateful THANK You is given to Granddaughter, Kayla for her sacrifice, dedication, support, and love as she filled Grandmother’s final days with so much happiness.

Mamie’s legacy will live on through her family. She is survived by daughter, Carol and husband Ed; son, Mark and fiancée Alisha; grandchildren, Kayla and PJ; great grandchildren, Laynie and CJ; sister, Nan Hunter; and many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
