Lupe M. Cruz

Lupita was born to Jose Angel Mercado and Natalia Romo on March 18, 1935 in San Antonio, TX. Together with Rodolfo T. Cruz (deceased) she raised and left behind to cherish her memory, four children; Rudy Cruz Jr., Gerardo M. Cruz Sr. and wife Ruth G. Cruz, Edward M. Cruz and wife Susana Avina and Rebecca C. Dessenberger and husband Richard B. Dessenberger. Grandchildren; Gerardo M. Cruz Jr. (Chrystal), Katherine Rodriquez, Christopher Eduardo Cruz, Victoria G. Cruz, Evan Avina, Jeremy Joshua Cruz and Calvin Cruz Dessenberger. Great grandchildren; Lilly Olivia Cruz, Johnny Rodriquez, Jr., Isabella Torres and Christopher Anthony Cruz.

Lupita was preceded in death by her brothers: Manuel, Jose, Santiago and Elias Mercado and her loving sister, Andrea Perez.

Lupita loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, las maquinetas, dressing elegantly, dancing and especially spending time with her friends and family. She was never without a smile, had a beautiful personality, an extremely lively spirit and a giving heart that will truly be missed.
