Luis is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 50 years, Sofia Rodriguez; ten brothers and sisters and two precious grandchildren. He is survived by his three children; Josie Perez (Armando), Luis Rodriguez, Jr. (Maria) and Gloria Martinez, two siblings, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives who will cherish his memory and miss him dearly.
Luis was a very devoted and active member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for many, many years. His family will remember him as always being faithful to both God and the church. He loved many things including his family, watching baseball games and The Price is Right and on his birthdays, trips to Coushatta.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A rosary service will begin at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4918 Cochran Street, Houston, TX 77009 with the interment to follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
