For most of her tenure as a member of West End Baptist Louise sought to share her faith as a Sunday school teacher as well as attending to her own growth in weekly Bible Study and worship. Her favorite scripture was John 15: 5, “I am the vine and you are the branches. Abide in me and I will abide in you...”
While being a beloved mother, grandmother, friend and devoted servant of Christ, she was a dedicated employee. Louise was recently honored as the oldest living former employee of Foley’s department store where she worked for many years. After working at Foley’s, she worked at Mortgage and Trust for at least 20 years before retiring. In her spare time, Louse loved to read, drink coffee, travel, play scrabble, and visit with family and friends. She was also a woman of great wisdom who encouraged everyone to “keep on keepin on” and to remember if you have something to do don’t put it off, but “Do it now!”
