Lois Louise Hudson Lambert, 87, born February 25, 1931 in Houston, Texas, passed away in Conroe on July 31, 2018. Lois was preceded in death by her parents Elmer Nelson Hudson and Lois Louise Perry Hudson; brother, J. Perdee Hudson; son, Michael Lane Lambert. Lois or “Toodles” as she was affectionately known, grew up in the Houston Heights spending her summer vacations on her Grandparent’s farm in Rosebud, Texas. She was a member of the Reagan Red Coat High School drum and bugle corp in which she wanted to play trumpet, but because she wore dental braces, she had to play drums. She was a straight A student throughout her education. She was very active as a hospital volunteer at Herman Hospital. She began her career in the insurance industry as a secretary, working her way into business operations. She gained the reputation as a top talent in property and casualty insurance throughout the State of Texas. She was one of the first female independent insurance agents in Houston when she started Texas International Insurance and Lois Lambert Insurance Agencies. She is survived by her sister Ruth Jeanette Weed of Phoenix, Arizona, her sons Harold F. Lambert, Jr. and wife Norma Jean Bottoms Lambert of Winnie, Texas; Lane Lamar Lambert of Many Louisiana, her daughters Louanne Lambert and her wife Wendy Hawkins of Cranston, Rhode Island; and Holly Lambert Lagace and Charles Marcus Smith of Willis, Texas. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, Texas on August 5, 2018 at 1:00pm with a funeral service at 2:00pm in the chapel, followed by a reception from 3:00pm-5:00pm at Forest Park Westheimer.
