Linda was born in Ft Worth, Texas on August 24th, 1937. She started life as the daughter of a stockyard cowboy and a journalist gardener. She inherited her father’s grit and her mother’s grace. Qualities of both served her well throughout the years as she navigated many triumphs and tragedies.
Before age two, she moved to Houston, Texas where she lived most of her life. She attended John H. Reagan High School. Afterward, her education continued through natural curiosity and self-determination. She was a quick study and her work experiences eventually landed her a coveted accounting position at an international importing company. Her hard work and dedication earned her a higher salary than most women at the time and an opportunity to travel to Paris, France. Like a true friend, she invited her best girlfriends Betty and Susan to join her! Her beauty was remarkable and she surrounded herself with beautiful things from her attire to home furnishings. Even in the early years when times were tight, she crafted them herself and with family members. Many a weekend was spent at antique sales looking for treasure to refurbish.
She was a strong woman that succeeded despite many hardships throughout her life. These experiences fueled her compassion for others. Her family and friends counted on her and confided in her. She had a gift for listening to others and offering them comfort. Having been raised by her single grandmother, mother and uncles, she drew strength from family members coming together to care for the next generation. Her family helped her as a single mother and when her eldest daughter passed away too early, she raised her granddaughter. She also supported other family members in need throughout the years.
Linda was preceded in death by her brother John Raymond ‘Jack’ Bullard, daughter Kristina Marie Leesekamp, father Raymond Luther Bullard, and mother Gladys Alexander Bullard Feist. She is survived by three of her four children Rosilin Ramzey, Darrell Robinson, and Walter (Teresa) Tynes and her six grandchildren, John Leesekamp, Linan Jackson, Chris Beebe, Drew Robinson, Britany Rubino, and Kelsey Tynes plus ten great-grandchildren.
