Linda Marie Mier

LINDA MARIE MIER, 73, a retired City Of Houston employee died peacefully on May 4th, 2021. She was born on June 25, 1947 She worked with the Houston Public Library for 32 years and loved every single person she ever met. Her greatest accomplishment was her ability to make friends every chance got and most were long forever lasting friendships that she cherished deeply.

She is survived by her sister, Gloria Jean Mier-Carreno (Elias), her brother Gregory Mier Sr., her niece Erika Lynn Rodriquez (Steven), and nephew Gregory Mier Jr. (George L. Gomez II). Her greatest enjoyment was spending times with her great nephew Xavier Sebastian(Jazmin) and great niece Stefanie Loren (Joel). Watching them grow up into parents themselves was such a thrill for her. She was looking forward to enjoying her time with her great-great nephew Jeremiah Joel and her two great-great nieces, Mei Marie and Aurora Lynn.. Linda's youngest great niece is LailaRose and she always brought the biggest smile to her especially when she would give her a call just to talk.

She is preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Rose Mary Rodriquez, her mother, Velia G. Mier, her brother Sebastian Mier and her father Isabel Mier.

Anyone who knew Linda, knew she loved talking to her family and friends on the telephone for hours. Yolanda has been her best friend for over 30 years and Vivian even longer along with numerous others who she truly loved. Lee she loved you like a brother and every call she ever received brought her so much joy. Linda will be greatly missed by everyone especially her family.. Our family home will forever be silenced with the absence of Linda.

Visitation will be Tuesday the 11th of May with a private family viewing from 4:00/5:00 followed by a Celebration of Life from 5:00 - 8:00 with a rosary at 7:00pm.

Funeral Service will be Wednesday the 12th of May at 1:00 pm. These will be at the Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home located at 13102 North Freeway, Houston , Texas 77060
