Age 57, of Houston, on January 27, 2013 passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her husband and into the Lord’s hands. Linda is survived by Ronald, to whom she was married for 21 years. They were married in Pittsburgh, PA. Loving mother of Holly (Dyer) and Ronnie; also beloved sister of Yvonne (Ware), the late Bill, Bob, Lilly and Timothy. Linda was born in Menlo Park, CA in 1955. She graduated from Liberty Union High School in 1973. Linda retired from Chevron Corp in 2001 after 25 years of service. She then went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Writing from Union Institute & University / Vermont College in 2008. Linda was an award winning author who had several published short stories and poems. In addition to writing, Linda was a yoga instructor and volunteered at the Cy-Fair Cancer Center. The family will receive friends at the Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek, 9149 Highway 6 North, Houston, TX 77095 Saturday, February 2nd for a Celebration of Life at 6:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cy-Fair Cancer Center Volunteers at 10650 Steepletop Drive, Houston, TX 77065.
