Leonid Bobrivnyk was a proud son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and even great-grandfather. He dedicated his life to academia and his students. He published 10 textbooks and authored over 450 scientific articles.
Although Leonid loved his work, his main passion in life was caring for his family. He took amazing care of his wife Galyna of 52 years, who was ill with chronic illness Type 1 Diabetes for over 50 years. He always recalled stories of his childhood growing up in the former Soviet Union. The last 21 years of his life was spent in the United States, in New York and Texas. At the very end of his life, one of his greatest joys was seeing his great-grandkids and spending times with his family, who will always miss him dearly.
Leonid is survived by Son, Serhiy; Grandchildren, Hanna and Mariya; Great-Grandkids, Andrew and Emma; and Siblings, Irina and Georgiy. Leonid is predeceased by his wife Galyna Voloshanenko.
A visitation for Leonid will be held Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home - Champions, 3410 Cypress Creek Parkway, Houston, TX 77068, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
