Laura had a long time career in women’s retail at Battlesteins and Palais Royal. Survived by daughter, Linda Kay Owens; son, John Allen Briggs and wife Linda; grandchildren, Kittie Paradise and husband Andy, Rocky Owens and wife Elizabeth; great grandchildren, Aidan and Ethan Paradise and Poul Rockford Owens III.; sisters, Aileen and Doris; brothers, George, Archie, and Dale and their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Laura’s life will be held in the Chapel of Advantage Funeral Home, Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at 1:30 pm. Family and friend will gather one hour before service time.
The family wishes to especially thank the staff at Autumn Leaves of Rockstone and Amed Hospice.
Interment will follow at the Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.
