Lance Dennis Molchan

Lance Molchan passed away on September 17, 2022. He was born on June 10,1968 in Latrobe, PA to parents Dennis J. and Beverly J. Molchan. Lance graduated from Channelview High School in 1986. Lance’s early passion was music and playing the drums, driving him to a year at UT-Arlington on a music scholarship. He followed this passion when he returned home and played in a band, eventually finding his 31 year career at AVR, Inc. as a programmer/specialist.

Lance loved to share his knowledge which made him a patient teacher by explaining the “Why” not just the “How”. His kind heart and soul made him as a person, someone that you couldn’t help but love after only a short interaction.

Lance’s spiritual upbringing was in a Catholic household and he found comfort in reading the bible.

Lance had served on the BoD at AVR, Inc. as well as serving as Vice-President of Lake Bonanza Water Supply Corp. BoD since 2014.

Lance is survived by his two sons: Joseph D. Molchan and George A. Molchan, parents Dennis J. and Beverly J. Molchan, sister Denice M. Gonzales and husband Rey, nephew Alex R. Gonzales, niece Allison G. Gonzales and uncle Dennis G. Kuba and wife Karen. He is preceded in death by grandmothers: Ethel F. Molchan LaCaze and Stella F. Kuba, as well as aunt Geraldine E. Risley.

A visitation for Lance will be held Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A rosary will occur Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at Brookside Funeral Home 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
