Kenneth A. "Little Red" Woodard, age 89, passed away on Thursday, the 2nd of May 2013. Ken was born in Colorado Springs and grew up in Tulsa. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma and served on the U.S.S. Gunason (DE-795) as a Lieutenant (jg) in the United States Navy. Ken was a long time resident of Houston working in the oil and gas business, a member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church and the Houston Country Club. Ken is now reunited with his parents, siblings, many friends, first wife, Alice Foster, and second wife, Carol Koch. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Natalie; and granddaughter, Kendall.
A memorial service is to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 8th of May, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston, where The Rev. Stuart A. Bates, Rector of St. Francis Episcopal Church, is to officiate.
Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held in the nearby grand foyer.
