Kenneth H. Johnson, 79, of Fort Bend County, departed this earth on October 9, 2015. He was born in Houston, Texas on February 19, 1936. He is preceded in death by his father Howell W. Johnson and mother Pauline Gutkowski Johnson both of Houston, Texas. Ken graduated from Milby High School in 1954 and received his B.S. in Chemistry from The University of Texas in 1957, served in the U.S. Army from 1957 to 1960, and received his Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law in 1963. He was married to Yoshiko Suzuki Johnson on May 4, 1959. Ken had a long career in solo practice as an Intellectual Property attorney. He was a member of the State Bar of Texas, Houston Bar Association, and a Texas Exes Life Member. He had a passion for politics, British comedies and murder mysteries, enjoyed working in the garden and yard, and being a handy man around the house. He is survived by his wife Yoshiko Johnson, children Tiffani Johnson and Peter Johnson, and cousins William Thomas, Gale Smedley, Gary Gutkowski and wife Reberta, Anna Clements and husband Casey and their children Kara and Lauren, Alan Gutkowski and wife Adrianna, and Michael Gutkowski, and beloved host of friends.
Visitation will beheld at 5:00-7:00 pm, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Forest Park, Lawndale and funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, October 15, 2015 at Forest Park Lawndale.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the American Heart Association.
