With a larger than life personality, singer, musician, son, brother mentor, teacher, humorist, Kenny Cobarrubias, died suddenly, July 27, 2020 in Houston. He collapsed in his front yard and never regained consciousness. Born in the summer of August 1957, his father , Johnnie, and mother , Lita, two older brothers; Jack and John Allen,,lived in the city of Houston, Texas. Little sister, Anita, would follow six years later. In Houston as a child, Kenny, would discover his love of music by the likes of Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and then the Beatles then countless other bands of the sixties and seventies as well as his love of sports. In Little League he was quite the homerun hitter. At the age of 12 he begged his mother for a guitar which she bought at Sears and Roebuck. He taught himself to play it and as teenager he would put a band together to perform Proud Mary by Creedance Clearwater Revival at his Junior High School's talent show. He would form other bands while in High School and play at local bars and clubs. He did so well into his adulthood. Kenny had a great sense of humor and could make people laugh,especially with his impressions. He was a lover of all animals and treated his pets like they were his children. Kenny is proceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by his siblings,:Jack, John Allen and Anita who have not only lost a brother but a best friend. Nephew Jesse, nieces Janna, Sarah, Stephanie, Mandy and Audrey.
