My dearest Great Aunt Katy (Memaw) will always remain in my heart having been in many of the most cherished and wonderful memories of my childhood. When last we sat together, in that familiar kitchen, it was like being home. I recall only warmth and love every time I was fortunate enough to be in her presence, which was not enough. The classic beautiful smile, unparalleled sweet character, and gentle strength of this amazing woman will always be the ideal to me. You are always with me Memaw, always have been, and always will be. Your Great Grand Niece misses you and loves you.

Katie (aka Memaw) was a very kind and gentle soul, who accepted me with open arms.  I will cherish the memories of all the card games and conversations we had over the years.  Fun times like walking around Old Town Spring and going down to Liberty and buying antique roses.  Participating in the flower club show in Lovelady together.  Lots of fond memories.  Your quick wit is tops in my book.  My kids and I are better people for having known you.  You will always be in our hearts.  We love you Memaw.

Katie (aka Memaw) was a very kind hearted, genuine and gentle soul.  Her quick wit could outdo the best of us. She was loved by everyone that knew her.  We love you Memaw and you will always be in our hearts.

The last conversation we had was a lovely chat about the Alamo where you were impressed by my knowledge about it. I wish I could have talked to you one last time so I could further share my knowledge with you and tell you that I love you one last time.

Katie (aka Memaw) will always be in my heart.  She was very genuine and kind hearted, she accepted me as I was and had a spunk that Mike Tyson could not beat. My money was on that she would outlive us all, some one who is that vivacious and has such an inner light to me can never be extinguished. She is loved by everyone who knew her.  She is a very special lady.  Not only by her caring heart, but her sense of humor as well. I am especially honored that the family chose to use the photo of her from my wedding.  Memaw, I love you. Me, Austin and Tyler will never ever forget you.
