Kathleen was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church. She was an American Legion Award winner in HISD and received numerous academic achievements. She attended Massey Business College and the University of Houston. Her work career included being an executive secretary at Humble Oil (Exxon). She loved traveling the world, playing the piano, sewing, gardening and reading. A gifted artist and dinner party hostess, Kathleen shared the same birthday as Marilyn Monroe. She was beautiful, elegant and very intelligent. Her hair, makeup, clothing, accessories, jewelry, and footwear reflected her style and ambiance. She was a Mad Men actress before the show was ever created.
She was the daughter of the late Tim and Lillie Barnard. Her brother was the late Earl (Sonny) Barnard. Kathleen was a wonderful wife to Gordon Hollan and after his death, Richard Breidenbach. She was the perfect mother to Andy Hollan and a fantastic stepmother to Rick Breidenbach and Mike Breidenbach. Her family, friends and many people she encountered in her lifetime will miss her. A private ceremony will be held to celebrate her life.
