Katherine Falco Dragna peacefully went to be with her Maker on Monday, February 4, 2013. She was born June 27, 1925 in Navasota, Texas to Charles and Michela Falco. Katherine was a founding member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church, and sang in the church choir for the majority of her adult life. She was also a member of the St. Ambrose Altar Society and St. Jude’s Society. She loved dancing, cooking and spending time with her family. She dedicated her life to being a loving wife and mother.
Katherine is reunited with her husband of 59 years, Luke Joseph Dragna; son, Charles Dragna and wife Annette; 12 day old great-grandson, Andrew Wade Jessup; brothers, Nick, Carlo, Joe and Johnny Falco and one sister, Rosa Falco Bernandino. She is survived by her son, Blasé Dragna and wife Mary; grandsons, Christopher Dragna and Michael Dragna and wife Cheryl; granddaughters, Lisa Dragna Jessup and husband Zachery, Vickie Dragna Zellers and husband Neil; great-grandchildren, Katie and Kara Dragna, Haley, Mikayla and Rebecca Jessup and Isabelle Zellers; brother, Lee Falco and sister, Pauline Falco. A special thanks to Linda and Humphrey Hughes and Betty Marshall, for their love, companionship and care shown to Katherine through the years. The family will receive visitors in the Chapel of Pat H. Foley & Company on Thursday, February 7, 2013 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with the Praying of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 4213 Mangum Rd, 77092 on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Ben Smaistrla officiating She will be laid to rest at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale St., 77023 following an escorted cortege for family and friends that would like to attend. A luncheon will be held following the committal services in the St. Ambrose Church Hall. Serving as active pallbearers will be Michael Dragna, Christopher Dragna, Zachery Jessup, Neil Zellers, James Falco and Blasé Dragna. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Falco, Humphrey Hughes, Charles Scarmardi and Anthony Corte. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests that remembrances be made to Susan G.
