Justin grew up in New Jersey for the first eight years of his life. Then enjoyed the Tuscan Arizona desert for 8 years as a young teen before his family settled in Tomball Texas in 1990. Justin graduated from Tomball High School in 1994, he studied history at UT Austin until settled into a relationship with future wife Monica in 1998.

Justin’s love of sports yielded a lifelong career as an Entrepreneur in the Sports Memorabilia Industry. He founded The Battersbox in 1990 at age 14, where he ran a vintage sports cards catalogue business out of his bedroom in his parents’ home. Over the last 33 years, it has become the premiere mail order company for the Vintage Card Industry. In his short 47 years, he lived a life beyond most. He was spontaneous, loved to travel on short notice (preferably to a tropical beach), he loved playing golf and seeing sights unseen with his wife and kids. Justin’s goals for 2023 were to take a vacation or personal trip at least once a month and do something fun for him. He said life was too short and he wanted to make the most of it. He kicked off the New Year returning from a 8-day Hawaii trip with Monica and kids. In January, Justin and Monica enjoyed a Vegas runaway.
