Mrs. Kim is survived by her husband of 48 years, Han-Seob Kim, their son Jai Young Kim, her brother Woo Shik Kim, and her sister Inja Kim.
Mrs. Kim was born on the 8th of September 1934, in Wonsan, Korea. In August of 1945, World War II events forced her and her family to abruptly relocate to southern Korea, leaving their house and possessions behind. Starting during the Korean War, she served as a South Korean Army nurse for 10 years. And while in the army, she met Dr. Han-Seob Kim and they wedded in 1963. Their family moved from Seoul, South Korea, to Houston in 1969.
As a person, Mrs. Kim was unconditionally loving and sincere. She promoted abundant generosity. People from all walks of life found her immediately likable. And her sense of humor was infectious.
A funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o'clock in the morning on Monday, the 26th of December, in the Parlor of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
