Today I am going to talk about my husband, my hero, who has passed to who knows where. He left me with two spoiled, stubborn, sons who want to stay single forever. A dog with no obedience who doesn’t even listen to me, a cat who destroys everything and comes and goes as he pleases. But most of all he left me some memories, and everlasting love and the best 26, years of my life. The Man. The Myth. The Legend we’ve met and grown to love. His life was cut short, but he will always be with us. We all have memories of him which will never be forgotten. He was courageous during his deployment. He was the best father and husband he could be. He wanted it known that he died as a result of being stubborn, refusing to follow doctors’ orders and raising hell for forty-two years. He lived his life with no regrets. He enjoyed booze, guns, fishing and all kinds of music. He loved reading all kinds of books. He was always dropping random facts and knowledge. He enjoyed learning, teaching, and discovering new fighting techniques. He loved playing his Xbox even though he would constantly get booted off because of his kind words. He was a homebody who watched all kinds of movies, even the behind the scenes, extras and the director’s cut. Unfortunately, He will not be returning but I know he would want us to continue on this Earth to carry on his legacy. We can only hope that he’s in a better place doing all his favorite things; socializing, drinking, laughing, and reading. We hope that he is reunited with his loved ones and listening to music that soothes his soul and makes his heart content, but maybe that's just wishful thinking. He left detailed instructions for his wife and children; to celebrate his life here and to keep his memories and stories going so that he’s never forgotten and to keep pushing forward. He would want us to be happy on this day. He always wanted the best for his family. He adored and cherished Julian Jr and Aaron. What made him the Proudest, was watching his sons graduate from High School and join the Military. To follow in his footsteps as Brothers in Arms. He loved to give hugs, kisses and if you had a place in his heart, he would tell you I love you. He was never shy about those things. He always felt that he needed to let that person know how much they meant to him. Whether He said it in person or over the phone. That’s just who He was.
