Alicia G. Parra was born December 11, 1933 in Mexico and passed away at her home on June 25, 2020 her husband, Juan C. Parra was born December 21, 1933 in Mexico and passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2020 they were married for 63 years.
Alicia is survived by her siblings & spouses:Ignacio Garcia, Maria Garcia Vasquez. Juan is survived by his 2 brothers, Arturo Parra and Gregorio Parra.
She is preceded in death by parents, Valentin Garcia & Francisca Gutierrez Garcia, son, Mario Parra, and sisters and brothers. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fermin Parra and Francisca Castaneda Parra along with several brothers and sisters.
Serving as pallbearers for Alicia are Jose Parra, Carlos Parra, Ken Garcia, Roland Parra, Martin Lopez Jr., Michael Madrazo, Albert Parra, Jesse Parra along with pallbearers for Juan, Christian Marquez, Miguel Morales, Gustavo Zapata, Horacio Martinez, Oscar Gomez, Kenneth Garcia and Albert Parra and Jesse Parra.
Alicia and Juan both enjoyed being surrounded by family, gardening, cooking and going to church. Alicia volunteered at All Saints Catholic Church for over 30 years. Juan enjoyed playing the musical instruments Guiro, Wood Claves, maracas, reading the newspaper and Spanish western novels. He also enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles, listening to music and watching baseball, his favorite team was the Houston Astros. He liked playing dominoes and billiards, he always had candies in his pocket for the children. He was a jokester and had a great sense of humor and was playful and witty. Juan was an usher and a Eucharist Minister.
Alicia and Juan will be greatly missed by everyone that knew them and loved them.
