Joyce Jean Kurtz, 83, of Houston, TX, passed away July 23rd, 2017.
She was born in Lavaca County, TX on April 7th, 1934 and married Rudy Emil Kurtz on May 7th, 1955.
Joyce worked various jobs in Houston until the birth of her daughter. She had a passion for cooking, and caring for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and infant son.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly brown and husband David; grandchildren, Shannon Brown and wife Chelsea, and Danny Brown; and siblings, W.W. Zimmerman and wife Margie, Frank Zimmerman and wife Linda, and Patricia Dawson. She leaves behind a host of friends and extended family that will miss her dearly.
