Joyce Carothers Everitt

Joyce Carothers Everitt of Houston passed away on October 10, 2012 at the age of 82. She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School, retired from Texas Commerce Bank, and was of Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years Homer E. Everitt; husband Robert J. Zittel; and parents Winston and Christine Carothers. She is survived by children Larry Everitt of Carrollton, Randal Everitt and wife Gayle of Katy, Bryan Everitt and wife Sylvia of San Antonio, and Cathy Everitt Montagne of Houston; grandchildren Wayne Everitt, Jessica and Rebecca Everitt, Derek and Max Everitt, and Lucas and Jaime Montagne; sister Doris Carothers of Houston; and many loving family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 7pm on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Brookside Funeral Home - Cypress Creek. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Sunday, October 14, 2012. Donations to American Heart Association, MD Anderson or a charity of your choice may be made in lieu of flowers.
