Joyce Elaine Anderson was born on January 2, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan. She served as a Registered Nurse for 34 years at the Memorial Hermann Hospital system. She spent her life serving others, and I would not be the woman I am today if it wasn’t for her strength, love, and support.
She died peacefully and surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by her daughter Valerie N. A. Dickson, Granddaughter Elaine Georgiana Dickson, and Son in Law Benjamin A. Dickson, and our two German Shepherd fur-babies Maple & Sephiroth Dickson.
Joyce Anderson has been cremated.
My mother was well known for her hospitality, celebrating life, and for making any occasion special. Joyce loved being around family, friends, and hosting events that were larger than life. So, in honor of my mother, we will be celebrating as she would have surrounded by the people she loved most.
