In his early life, Jose would enjoy boxing, dancing and singing. He was the life of the party. He was a mechanist. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and dancing.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Aurelia Longoria and Jose Villanueva; wife, Reyna Villanueva.
He is survived by daughter, Janie Villanueva; son, Jose Villanueva and wife Cynthia Villanueva; grandchildren, Jennifer Avalos, Leslie Ann Avalos, Ernest Avalos Jr. and his wife Maria Avalos, Rebecca Avalos, Robert Martinez; great-grandchildren, Annalyce Luna, Jacob Avalos, Aiden Villanueva, Jeselle Luna, Amry Rodriguez, Nathan Luna, Audrey Villanueva, Robert Martinez Jr., Carmella Martinez, Ernest Avalos III, and Sebastian Avalos.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, May 20, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur Friday, May 21, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., in the Grand Room at Brookside followed by a burial at Brookside Memorial Park.
