Jose was raised in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico. By the age of 16 he moved to the United States. Jose was a jack of all trades! He was a craftsman, carpenter and contractor.
Jose was a man of strong faith and had a good relationship with God. His life was the beautiful family he created with his wife Maria of 50 years. He loved family trips to the casinos and Walt Disney World! He was quite the craftsman who loved to build and fix things. Jose had a green thumb and loved to garden. His favorite pass time was watching movies and playing games on his phone. He was always a sharp dressed man!
Jose is preceded in death by his parents, Matilde and Estanislado Montemayor; siblings, Fernando Montemayor-Trevino and Maria de Jesus Montemayor-Trevino.
Left to cherish his memory is his spouse, Maria Guadalupe Montemayor; daughter, Claudia Rubi Montemayor; sons, Jose A. Montemayor Jr., Cesar R. Montemayor and Julio Cesar Montemayor; twelve grandchildren, Leobardo Hernandez III, Angel Hernandez, Cesar Montemayor Jr., Monique Hernandez-Contreras, Demetrio Montemayor, Magaly Montemayor, Isaac Hernandez, Itati Montemayor, Paulina Montemayor, Mia Montemayor, Damian Montemayor and Vida Montemayor; five great grandchildren, Jade Hernandez, Rubi Hernandez, Scarlett Contreras, Leobardo Hernandez IV and Sebastian Contreras.
