Jose M. Lopez, 91, of Houston, Texas, Passed away on September 1, 2022. He was born in Ochoa, Tamps Mexico on May 30, 1931 to parents Maria de Jesus Gonzalez and Pedro Lopez. He met Petra Ibarra in Guardados de Arriba, Tamps Mexico and married in January 28, 1956. Jose worked as a Janitor at City of Houston for 10 Years. He had a passion for Automotive Engineer.
My father worked in agriculture here in America. In 1973 he migrated his family from Mexico to America (5 kids and pregnant wife). To build the American dream, which he accomplish. He became a home owner of two houses and raised a wonderful family. Throughout the years he had many other jobs to support his kids. On his free time he liked working on cars, which he learn as a boy working for his uncle in a mechanic shop. He had a passion for landscaping, at one point he had the best looking yard in the neighborhood. In all he was a wonderful man with a big heart and will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his wife Petra I. Lopez.
He is survived by Maria De Jesus Lopez- Galicia, Jose M. Lopez Jr., Juan Manuel Lopez, Jaime Lopez, Margarita Lopez, and Daniel Lopez.
Pallbearers are Jesus Galicia, Juan Jose Galicia, Jesus Cerda Jr., Jose Maria Lopez Jr., Jose R. Cerda, and Joel A. Lopez.

A visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A committal service will occur Thursday, September 8, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
