Jose Maria C. Fuentes, age 69, of Houston, Texas passed away on Tuesday November 19, 2019. Jose was born May 3, 1950 in Mexico to Gloria and Alfonso Fuentes. Jose was big on family he loved spending as much time as possible with his wife and grandkids. He had such a passion for photography, that he was even the photographer for many of his nieces weddings. Jose loved storytelling, he always had a story to tell even if it was about one of the simplest things in life, but most of all he will be remembered for the love he had towards the Lord.
Jose is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maria M. Fuentes; daughter Abigail M. Saenz; and son Jose M. Fuentes Jr.; grandchildren Ariela J. Fuentes, Zavian Fuentes, Leana J. Saenz, Adam Saenz and Luke Saenz; siblings Martha G. Reyes, Alma L. Munoz, Eva L. Fuentes, Maria J. Casas, Dora C. Fuentes-Colwell, Jesse C. Fuentes and Jose Santiago Fuentes.
Jose was preceded in death by parents Alfonso and Gloria Fuentes; and brother Alfonso Cardenas Fuentes.
Visitation for Jose will be held Monday, November 25, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A chapel service will occur Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, with burial to follow at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038.
Serving as pallbearers are Jose M. Fuentes Jr., Zavian Fuentes, Steven Saenz, Jesse C. Fuentes, Michael Carrizal, Andrew Ramirez, Christian G. Esparza, and Alex Argueta.
