Our beloved Jose de Jesus Estrada passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 1, 2022, in Houston Texas, at the age of 79. Jose was born January 6, 1943, in Ojo Caliente, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. In 1968, he journeyed to Chicago, Illinois where he met his wife, Esperanza. They married 2 years later and went on to make their home in Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Esperanza; daughter Maria and husband David; daughter Veronica and husband Pedro; sons Jose, Roger and Ruben; granddaughter Jazmin and husband Irvin; granddaughters Carla, Gabriella and Serenity; grandsons Roger Xavier, David, Jose III, Adan, Israel, Andres, and Adrian; Great grandchildren Adrian and Aiden; sisters Leonides, Catalina and Marta.
Jose is preceded in death by his parents Hipolito Estrada and Simona Narvaez; sisters Hermelinda, Marcelina, Gregoria, and Guadalupe; and brothers Antonio and Valentin.
A visitation for Jose will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A rosary service will occur Monday, November 14, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 2405 Navigation Blvd, Houston, TX 77003. A committal service will occur Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at Forest Park Lawndale, 6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023.
