He was born to William Henry Parker and Marie Frances Bledsoe on the 30th of April 1942, in Clarksville, Texas. After leaving home as a young man, he served in the United States Air Force, and thereafter began a long and rewarding career in the automobile industry. He ultimately started his own business, John Parker Motors, Inc., which was his passion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Claude Parker. He is survived by his children, Stephen Parker and Karen Weems; his brothers, William Parker, Travis Parker, and Rex Parker; his sisters, Sue Huemmer, Alice Barentine and Mary Parker; and many loving nieces and nephews. He is also remembered fondly by his ex-wife, Hannia Parker, and her family.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from two until five o’clock this afternoon, Sunday, the 17th of November, in the library and grand foyer of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.
A funeral service is to be conducted at one o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 18th of November, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons.
